Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway
MICHIGAN CUP XXXVI HUGE SUCCESS IAN SPRAGUE HONORED PART 1!
October 3rd-October 5th, we held our one and only event. The crown jewel event that happens at the end of every season at Springport Mid-Michigan Speedway Michigan Cup. This year, we honored a former driver who called SMMS home, and was the relative of one of our own. Our Announcer Sean Sprague lost his younger brother Ian Sprague unexpectedly on September 5th and the whole weekend was in his honor. Here is the full recap of the Saturday portion below.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 4TH:
MINI WEDGES:
The future of our sport the Mini Wedges kicked off Michigan Cup XXXVI! We ran 2 heat races and then ran 2 15 lap features. Senior Division Michigan Cup Champion Dylan Cassaday (6), and Joey Barnhart Jr (45) Junior Division Michigan Cup Champion. Congratulations boys!
