MICHIGAN CUP XXXVI HUGE SUCCESS IAN SPRAGUE HONORED PART 2!

Sunday October 5th, was features for the FASTEST CARS on property for Michigan Cup XXXVI! The Sprague Family put up bonus money of $206 dollars for the Template Late Models and Street Stocks if you finished 6th place since 6 was his car number and those were the 2 divisions he competed in. Here is the full results from Sunday October 5th!

Port Stock B FEATURE:

Jacob Newman from Holt, MI dedicated his win to Sean's brother Ian. It was a very emotional win as Jacob went to high school with both Sean & Ian. Also it was his FIRST EVER MICHIGAN CUP VICTORY! Congrats again Jacob on your win! Below is how they finished behind Jacob:

STREET STOCKS:

After the Port Stock B Feature, it was time for the Street Stock Feature. What great close racing we had in our Street Stock Division! We had 18 Street Stocks in attendance, winning the 6th place $206 was Tyler Praysner from Sault Ste. Marie ON, and our fast qualifier Ricky LaDuke picked up $50 that was donated in Ian Sprague's memory for fast time, courtesy of Joey Barnhart Trucking. He also won the Street Stock Feature! Behind Ricky LaDuke coming home 2nd was the 44-Anthony Duell; 3rd 47-Brandon Bledsoe; 4th 98-Rob Newman; 5th 10-Cody Lollar; 6th 05-Tyler Praysner[15]; 7th 19-Charlie Beattie; 8th 79-David Leforge; 9th 2-Mitch Dorin; 10th 145-Mike Havens; 11th 124-Marcus Starnes; 12th 05A-Xavier Allen; 13th 88X-Cody Eglon; 14th 2X-Jerry Schroll Jr; 15th 1-Bill Edwards; 16th 13-Dan Baschal; 17th 20-Brent Denton; and rounding out the field in18th 15E-Ryan Ward.

PORT STOCKS A FEATURE:

Next is was time for the FASTEST of the FAST for the Port Stock Division, the A Division! Congrats to Will Slaughter who was the winner over a very diverse field of FWD (Front Wheel Drive) competitors here is the results below:

Finishing 2nd behind Will was the 91-Gord Alblas; 3rd 46-Scott Gates; 4th 15-Ryan Allen[18]; 5th 9-Warren Barrand; 6th 77-Tyler May; 7th 6D-PAT DENT; 8th 95-Christopher Elwell; 9th 47-Lex Jarecki; 10th 5+4-Brian Barden; 11th 0-Chandler Hutchins; 12th 55V-Don Vroman; 13th T1-Drew Hosner; 14th 91B-Audree Blankenship; 15th 18M-Phillip Mattingly; 16th 18-AUSTIN MCKEE; 17th 79-Nicholas Murdock; and completing the field in 18th Did Not Start 40-Brian DePlanche.

TEMPLATE LATE MODELS:

It was then time to go racing with the Template Late Models. We had 9 of them but it was stacked field with some big name drivers that are stand outs in the Template ranks. Tommy Cook picked up the $50 bonus for setting fast time courtesy of Joey Barnhart Trucking, and Chet Monaweck picked up the $206 bonus which made it emotional because not only was the late model car #6 it also reminded Sean of his brother's late model he used to race! Brent Jack was the winner for the Template Late Models congrats Brent on the win! Here is the full results behind Brent:

Brent's son the 41T-Tanner Jack finished 2nd; 3rd 8-Tommy Cook; 4th 45-Joey Barnhart; 5th 4-Jeremy Vanderhoof; 6th 6-Chet Monaweck; 7th 73-LYN HALL; 8th 14-James Rae; and 9th 79-Harry Dacheux.

LIMITED LATE MODELS:

Limited Late Models took to the track. It was good to have some form of a wedged body late model a part of Michigan Cup XXXVI! They were low in numbers, but we are glad they came to support us! Jerry Osterhouse was our winner! Congrats Jerry on your win! Here is how the field finished behind Jerry:

Finishing 2nd 007-Terry Humphreys; 3rd 19H-Ira Hosner; and 4th 19-Drew Hosner.

MODIFIEDS:

What a great turn out for the Modified Division! The "Mod Squad" went 40 laps of great hard wheel to wheel racing! Congrats to Brian Bergakker on your win! Here is the full results below behind Brian:
